Mayotte is a French island in Comoros, located between Madagascar and Tanzania.
This region has one of the largest lagoons in the world and one of the most important tidal range.
This makes it a destination offering a variety of fauna and flora very important (however, attention to visibility 2 weeks per month!).
Mayotte is however not very touristic: the island condition and the Comores migration problems do that the island is not proposed by the international tourist organizations.
Leisure activities are currently dedicated to expatriates... and to frenches who want to discover them ;).

The kakihona sushi (sushi wrapped in persimmon leaves) are really the best!
To eat them, you have to go to Nara!
Some sharks can stay motionless on the sand (white tips reef sharks, nurse sharks, etc.).
These sharks don't have to swim to bring oxygen to their gills like other sharks (grey, hammerheads tc.)
Mammals have a horizontal tail.
Fishes have a vertical fin.
